Nicole Rademacher
Nicole Rademacher is a visual artist. Deriving inspiration from the emotional versus geographical location and the intersection of communication and culture, she investigates language, mythologies, poetics, and imagery. She locates emotions that propel the individual. Much of her work draws upon autobiographical events, certain emotions or stories. She activates and reveals these events, emotions and stories primarily by way of photography, digital print, and video.
Currently Rademacher lives in rural western New York state, where she is completing graduate study in electronic integrated arts. Her educational journey began studying architecture, where she then discovered the still camera, and subsequently the moving image. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited and screened work internationally, including Chicago, USA; New York, USA; Nantes, France; Berlin, Germany; and Barcelona, Spain.
