Transformation is a word that I often think of when making art. This is a fitting word because it describes a process or an action, but it can also signify a result or an effect. By its very definition, the word transformation links the physical act of making with the interpretation of meaning. Creating those linkages between making and meaning is where I find the most pleasure in being an artist.

I am an Alfred person, Class of 2006. We worked together on a piece of mine for the smart wall, I spent my fair share of time sitting in his grad studio (by appointment of course).
