Kristen Egan
My work is about storytelling. Stories are everywhere; we hear them, we see them, we tell them, and we live them. Through my art I tell stories about my own experiences. They are all true, based on real places and real characters, though they do not always appear to be. Truth is not the same as fact. Sometimes it is necessary to distort outward appearances in order to reveal the heart of something.

Patrick and I worked together on assignments in creative writing class at Alfred University. He was a very friendly, talented, and encouraging guy.
