Patrick and I first met at 411 N. Allen in the early nineties. After he and the crew migrated to Red Zero, we all moved into N. Allen, prompting him to refer to us ever-after as his Grasshoppers. I spent a lot of time at Red Zero after that, forming friendships with many there. Patrick's room was always the headquarters from which all adventures would originate and culminate in, himself being the super-hero that he was in the epicentre of it all. I have a very deep respect for Patrick, and will always remember with great fondness when taking a walk through Richmond in the fall meant that any corner you come to could turn up the wide grin that seemed to always preface Patrick's appearance. The world was a better place then. He was a truly wonderful friend and man, and he lives on in my heart.
